Adoption Update and Miscellaneous Pictures

Tomorrow we will be meeting with an adoption social worker from the Allegheny County Orphan's Court. It's just a routine visit for any family about to make their child's adoption legal. It makes me laugh, however, because we have already had him for almost 10 months and they are
just getting around to check if we are fit to be parents. Basically, the worker will do a mini rerun of what we were put through last year. Tour our house, see how our health is, recheck our references, etc., etc. Just keep us in your prayers tomorrow at 2:oopm as we jump over this final hurdle and raise to the finish line.

The whole process reminds me of this verse from Paul:

Philippians 3:13-14
No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am
focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking
forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and
receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.

This is the miscellaneous picture part.

I am ashamed to say that we just took our Christmas tree on Sunday. I had Paul take a close-up shot of a special ornament we had made for Deacon. It turned out so cute!

These are just some cute pictures of Deacon
wearing his new Old Navy hat.
